...And now here we come...
Those who love Jazz more than anything else...
Those who can do everything for it...
Those who need it like air...
If you are not shocked by this...
You are not quite normal.
As we are. :)
So, welcome to join us!
Get ready...
1… 2… 1, 2, 3, 4,
START!!!
Firstly, open the door of the J. Karosas music school. Go upstairs and knock at a first door (a prompt for you: on the right hand side). After opening it, another one follows. And now you can see a man sitting with a guitar in his hands. This is Deividas Kontrimas, our boss. Say “hi” to him, and if you are still full of energy, you may start carrying drums. Now go upstairs, turn to the right and here you are in our jazz factory. In a minute the seven of us, crazy jazz makers and performers, will meet you.
And now, Augis, the drummer, the master of everything, our monitor for economy and other matters, enters the stage. Your applause, please!!! Expected date of receiving his birthday congratulations – October 20th. Though completed his trumpet studies, he seems to have abandoned it and “jumped” on drums.
Now solemnly steps Mantas, the bass holding a blue guitar. He is gifted with an absolute hearing and ability to create sssssuper improvisations. Applause!!! Mantas was born 18 years ago on May 31. He was engaged in clarinet studies for 6 years, but as soon as he managed to finish them, he gave up clarinet and snatches a guitar. He is good at speaking a language of his own (thanks God, we have already got the hang of it). A computer seems to be everything for him – father and Holy Ghost. This internet site is one of his “babies”.
Rûta has already taken her seat in front of black and white sticks. Despite her strain to drown in her meditation (especially when Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World” is on), she’s quite OK, you know. A master of carrying drums! Applause!!! She has been sitting and banging the piano here for 10 years. Now she fills the air with rocking sounds of the saxophone. She came into this world on November 14.
And now – welcome Auðra, the heaven’s voice, the possessor of various jazz, media, and social contacts. Whistles!!! Together with Rûta she crammed music, wrote tests and played on instrument for all 9 years. At the time being she “breaks” a saxophone. Her birthday candles are usually blown out on January 11.
Oh, you can hear the coming stems of pipers.
Algirdas is a saxophonist, band manager, crazy joker. Let’s welcome him! A five-year musical experience, active participation everywhere, talent for making things, even impossible ones – that’s him. Being fond of singing he sings wherever he goes. If his singing can not be publicly practiced, he croons, and if even crooning is not acceptable, he finds his way out and makes use of beating the rhythm. In case you don’t understand Lithuanian, speak Japanese to him. Send him your birthday cards on March 20. 17 items of birthday candles could come in useful. In fact, he is waiting for your cards every single day.
Andrius (responds only to his nickname “Hriusha”) seems to be the reincarnation of Louis Armstrong. He is a great dab of jokes too. If you don’t start laughing in 4.5 minutes after meeting him, we advise you to check your health. Your applause!!! A trumpeter for 7 years. He is celebrating his 17 birthday on February 8.
Can you hear it? This is our band’s junior Valdas, the trombonist. Though, there’s no doubt, his piping techniques do not sound like those of a virtuoso! However it seems him to be involved in music career for 5 years, at least. Hurrah!!! Though being a calm guy, he can’t pass up a good dose of laughter. He does his best in accuracy and preciseness of a matter, just nothing to be added! He can’t stop beeping trombone in his hands for already 5 years.
