At the time being the greatest band’s “Jazz Factory” acknowledgement lies in the invitation to participate as the leaders of the musical youth’s project in the 9^th international Klaipeda Castle Jazz Festival. I believe this is their new top in the sphere of professional music and a wonderful personal experience while creating the future of the Lithuanian Jazz.

It is no wonder anymore to call Klaipeda Lithuania’s New Orlean and to regard Lithuania New Orlean’s audience as the youngest and the most wonderful in the country. Therefore I’m not astonished at the new jazzmen generation, which is to make their native town famous not only in Lithuania but all over the world. At the time being the band “Jazz Factory”, existing for less than a year, undoubtfully appears to be the brightest sprout in the “garden” of the young jazz makers. Enthusiasm and energy inspired the students of the J. Karosas music school to set up the band which experiences an appreciable increase in West Lithuania’s musical life. All band members have studied music and this is evident in their way of performing musical pieces. Though the musicians make only their first steps towards professional jazz, however taking account of their musical experience and age it should be noticed that their music sounds rather convincing and professional. Certainly, the band is influenced by its leader Deividas Kontrimas, who several years ago completed his jazz studies at Klaipeda University, Faculty of Arts.
